Truva and I go way back like four flats on a Cadillac. I've endured downtown traffic, overpriced parking and tiresome canvassers all to get that delicious doner kebab. I was elated when they opened another location, especially one with such convenient parking.

I've been to the new location twice and each time the service, food, and atmosphere have been amazing. Somehow they captured the magic (and more importantly, taste) of Truva and exported it to Virginia Highlands. Parking is so easy! The interior is fetching, more modern than the downtown location, but most importantly, the food is just like the original location!

It is a great place to take people that have different diets, as no one is just left ordering side dishes or appetizers for a meal. Carnivores, Herbivores, Keto - all can coexist peacefully at Truva.

The staff really go out of their way to make you feel special, especially true of the chef.

This place is truly a gem! Me and my fiancé decided to try a new restaurant in the city and this was the place we chose.

Parking was a bit irritating, as some places charge and the restaurant doesn't have exclusive parking.

We walked in (it wasn't busy at all) we were greeted by the bartender, she gave us an option to seat at a booth, we instantly ordered our dish: I ordered a chicken & shrimp kabob with rice and salad, and my fiancé ordered the marinated chicken & it came with rice and salad. The waitress brought out this soft ass bread with this red oily herb dip and it was mind blowing! The food was very delicious as well. My only issue was that the waitress took a minute to bring our alcoholic drinks but other than everything was 5 stars from the decor to the food.

First time here since American Roadhouse closed. New ambiance is really nice - looks totally different. Dinner experience was excellent - great service and very friendly. Recommend starting with the Turkish Mar Tea-Ni.

The food was excellent - had a number of appetizers - my favorite was the octopus. The lamb kebab was the favorite entree for our party.

The only thing I would mention in terms of opportunities to improve was that the food came out a little slow - but it wasn't a big deal.

Lastly, the portions are really generous - so I'd recommend splitting appetizers and/or entree's.

Atmosphere is very quaint and elegant. Inside is very inviting and comfortable seating. Service is very attentive, polite and definitely friendly. Food is as authentic as it can be outside of Turkey. I am definitely qualified to make that claim because I haven been to Turkey and had authentic Turkish food and this is superb. I highly recommend for everyone to at least try it once. You will be a changed person.

This restaurant rings true to its Turkish roots when it comes to impeccable flavor and presentation! Pro foodie tip: come STARVING cause they offer fresh, fragrant, soft bread with their own red oil based dip. You will definitely ask for seconds of this. The menu is also pretty carb based since you need all of that to soak up the sharp flavors.

We started with their gigantic Turkish dumplings filled with a beef/lamb mixture. It came two to an order so it was perfect to share! Not too heavy on the pastry and definitely opened up our appetite for the ground lamb tacos that came next! I loved the fresh parsley/tomatoes toppings as it reminded me of tabouleh without actually ordering tabouleh. They sure do know how to cook their lamb! The flatbread is also extremely thin, this actually makes a perfect lunch meal for one!

For the main entree we shared the iskender kebab which consisted of slow cooked spinning freshly carved doner on top of cubes of fluffy pita! This dish is doused in incredibly fresh tomato brown butter sauce and garnished with the juiciest grilled tomatoes I've ever had. I was super pleased to have leftovers for the next day! Definitely recommend this as everyone's first dish to try because of how unique and pleasant it was.
